Gastrointestinal Health

Heather Linder, MD has been studying the link between gastrointestinal health and chronic diseases since medical school.  She has completed additional training with the Institute for Functional Medicine and uses comprehensive stool profiles to identify problems with digestion, absorption, imbalances of the microbiome, infections, and inflammation.  She then works with the patient to develop a comprehensive plan for improving gut health.

The gastrointestinal system is a complex set of organs responsible for digestion, nutritional absorption, and waste elimination.  Many people suffer from chronic constipation, diarrhea, and abdominal cramping, yet they are unaware of the cause of their discomfort. There is a direct correlation between gastrointestinal health and the body’s immune system.

We help to relieve issues in the digestive tract by addressing dietary and lifestyle issues that may be causing problems, normalizing digestion, balancing gastrointestinal bacteria, detoxifying the digestive tract, and promoting healing.
